Weekly Update for February 8th, 2016

As the February break approaches, we are enthusiastically preparing for the annual 5th grade versus teachers basketball game. Like many of our school-wide events, this is a wonderful evening for the Lynch community. A time where we gather (in this case, packing our gymnasium to standing-room only status) to support our students, cheer and appreciate what we have. There maybe a few rules being bent (a travel or two here, a double-dribble there) along the way. The goal is to have our students (playing or not) to take home with them a memory that night. A memory that they will talk about many years from now. Whether is was a shot they miraculously made or how they sat near the court with their classmates and lost their voice from yelling.

We had one of our famous videos prepared to show the students that our teachers are taking practice seriously this year. We were to show at our All-School meeting last Friday (and too large of a file to embed here). With the snow day, that did not happen. I will plan to show during lunches on Thursday for the students to view.
We hope to see and hear you all cheering wildly for our Lynchies Thursday evening!
