Weekly Update for February 1st, 2016
Happy February all! I must admit, it was a bit difficult to come inside from playing street hockey and washing cars in the driveway with the family on Sunday afternoon. Last Sunday it was ice hockey and skating on our rink in the backyard and this week - thinking spring already! Let's see what the Groundhog has to say in a few days.
A large congratulations to our music teacher Mr. Daniel Thompson for our winter concert production last Thursday evening. Mr. Thompson has been a wonderful and energetic addition to our Lynch faculty this year. The teaching profession has its cycles. Most faculty hiring for the school year is done as early as April (for the next school year) and as late as the days leading to Labor Day. From experience, those late hires can be very stressful. Between Mr. Thompson and our new physical education teacher - Ms. Dean, we have been successful with those "late" hires this year.
Congratulations to all of the students for their singing and playing of instruments. I stood on the sidelines the other evening smiling the entire 45 minutes watching our children. To have such a large number of students be in sync is an arduous task. The students and Mr. Thompson excelled and we thank all.
The following pics are from our dress rehearsal on Thursday morning.
