Weekly Update for December 10th, 2018
Greetings,
Walking through our classrooms this week, one of my areas of focus was student engagement. We want our students learning in a variety of ways to meet their needs. One of the strongest and most effective ways to have students retain the information is to talk to one another. "Turn and Talk" or "Partner Sharing" are very easy activity that happens throughout the grade levels and across the curriculums.
I snapped a few pictures while visiting our Lynchies during literacy and math lessons. Below, you will see first graders reading to each other, more first graders verbally comparing and contrasting a read aloud story from the teacher and some third graders peer "coaching" and editing a writing activity using Chromebooks.
Enjoy the pictures and I hope everyone has a wonderful week ahead!
