LPA Leadership Need for 2019-20

Greetings Lynch Families.

Much of Lynch’s successes and strong collaborative school community over the years are due to many different factors including a passionate and dedicated faculty, energetic and supportive families and really great students.

As I move to Winchester High School in July, my biggest goal for Lynch is to provide as smooth and as positive a transition in leadership as possible.

I have been so fortunate to work closely with our Lynch Parents Association leadership teams during my leadership years at Lynch. After many successful years, our current (and amazing!) Co-Presidents Stacey Princi and Nora Walker will also be leaving their posts for the 2019-2020 school year.

Together, they have led our Lynch community in providing teacher grants, classroom and teacher work space updates, as well as a myriad of enrichment programs and family events throughout the year. In tandem with our faculty, they advocate for Lynch within the school district and community.

In order to continue to meet our school and student goals, identify new goals and provide the best school community setting possible, we are looking for two volunteers to lead the LPA next year. If you (or anyone one you know) may be interested in taking on the role of an LPA Co-President, please reach out to Stacey, Nora or me to learn more. It's a wonderful opportunity to get better connected with Lynch families and faculty and has proven to be a highly rewarding experience for past LPA leaders.

In their own words . . .

The LPA is what you make of it.  It has been led by working parents, work-from-home parents and stay-at-home parents.  And it really is a team effort – the more people who sign on to help out (from parents who attend LPA meetings to parents who are on committees), the easier it is for you. There is an amazingly talented, fun, and experienced team of LPA committee chairs and volunteers that will surround you with support and help make it all happen!

We have spent the last year or two really trying to streamline things and to document everything to make things as turn-key as possible.  But the LPA is all about the people who run it. Put your own spin on it and make it your own.

Grab a friend and jump in.  It’s easy when you are doing it with someone you can work well with.  And it helps to share the load!

Stacey, Nora and I are committed to ensuring this transition in leadership is as smooth as possible (and we’re not going too far, so we can always answer questions next year!).

Thank you for your consideration,
