Weekly Update for April 11th, 2016

In this Week's Memo
- MCAS ELA End
- Lynch Annual Health Fair - Friday 4/15

Almost as exciting a "Truck Day" in early February when the Red Sox equipment team pack up the 18-wheel trucks with bats, balls, cleats and buckets of sunflower seeds from Fenway to then head south to Fort Meyers, Florida - is packing up completed MCAS work and sending them to Dover, NH (and actually .5 miles from my family's house where I grew up). Not only does my office become a lot less cluttered - okay, a little less cluttered - but there is a positive feeling knowing how much effort our faculty has put in and the diligent work of our students. Mrs. Phelan and I will stack the booklets in the boxes and ship them off Tuesday afternoon. Well, to only then have another shipment come in early May for math and science and do it all over again!

Our annual Lynch Health Fair (which was originally started by current Lincoln Elementary Physical Education teacher - Andrea Cogan) will be this Friday. Lynch PE/Health teacher Ms. Danielle Dean has been organizing and planning for this version of a health "field day" that takes place in the gymnasium and dining room. Ms. Dean has gathered local community members as presenters on a variety of healthy lifestyle topics and activities. If you are in the building on Friday, you are most welcome to come by and observe (please make sure to sign in at the main office).

Our current plan has grades K, 1 & 5 participating from 10-11:30am and grades 2, 3 & 4 from 1-2:30pm.

Thank to Ms. Dean and all our volunteers!

Have a great week!

Mr. Dupuis
