Weekly Update for March 7th, 2016
We had another successful Book Fair week at Lynch. Thanks is large part to Mrs. Callahan (Lynch librarian) and Lynch parents - Mrs. Sullivan and Mrs. Winn (plus many many other parents who were in and out volunteering each day), almost every Lynchie walked away with a new book. The highlights for me was the excitement on the student's faces as they compared books with one another and seeing many reading as they walked down the hallways back to their classrooms.
Our Reading Incentive night was also another great evening to take in at Lynch. Thank you very much to our reading faculty, grade 2 teachers, Ms. Griffin, Ms. Moresco, Mrs. Bianchini and Ms. Pine for their time and effort leading up to the event. Our students recorded all the minutes they read at home or in school for close to 7 weeks. Our final total was over the set-goal of 350,000 minutes! Congratulations to all of our students!
Now just one more goal to accomplish...........keep reading!
